A Mother-Son Team Shaping the Future of Neurodivergent Advocacy
Dr. Myava Clark and her son Chris Clark Jr. are a powerhouse duo on a mission to redefine digital inclusion for neurodivergent children. Together, they co-founded CASEN LLC (Collaborative Advancement for Social-Emotional Needs)—an innovative initiative built from both lived experience and professional insight.
Dr. Myava Clark, a best-selling author, educator, licensed respiratory therapist, and passionate parent, combines her deep understanding of healthcare and education with a drive to advocate for emotional wellness. Her experience parenting a neurodivergent child shaped her commitment to fostering safe, empowering spaces for children who often feel unseen or misunderstood. Chris Clark Jr., her son and business partner, is a best-selling author, an inspiring entrepreneur and youth advocate who turned personal challenges—such as being bullied and managing anxiety and depression—into a calling to help others like him.
Together, they developed CASEN Connect, a unique, monitored digital platform designed to teach neurodivergent children ages 9–13 crucial skills such as emotional regulation, online safety, and positive communication. CASEN Connect provides the tools these kids need to navigate today’s often unkind digital world with confidence and care. Their work doesn’t stop there—they’ve launched other crucial services such as the CASEN Education Social Network Wellness Academy and CASEN Outreach, a community-based educational initiative offering family-focused resources to bridge the online-offline gap.
At the heart of all their efforts is a belief in dignity, empathy, and empowerment. By blending social-emotional learning with real-world experiences and digital literacy, Dr. Clark and Chris are not only meeting a critical need—they’re setting a new standard for how society supports neurodivergent youth. Their movement is more than educational—it’s transformational.
Empowering Conversations: What’s New at CASEN?
Within the last three months, Dr. Clark and Chris Jr. have continued to grow their impact through CASEN Outreach. On July 26, 2025, they presented a specialized workshop titled Keeping Neurodivergent Kids Safe Online for the Young People’s Division at Mt. Zion AME Church in Norristown, PA. The workshop tackled some of the most pressing issues children face today, including how to deal with online hate, bullying prevention, managing digital footprints, and the essential steps to staying safe in a virtual world.
This wasn’t just another educational session—it was an interactive space where children, families, and community leaders came together to learn, reflect, and build practical strategies. It’s clear that CASEN isn’t just preaching safety; they’re teaching kids and their families how to practice it every day.
Dr. Clark and Chris are also proud of The Mothers of Exceptional Kids (MOEK) support group, which meets every first Tuesday of the month from 8–9 PM EST. This virtual space is a powerful source of encouragement and connection for parents and caregivers raising neurodivergent children. Here, stories are shared, struggles are acknowledged, and victories—big or small—are celebrated. Dr. Clark emphasizes that this kind of supportive network is crucial for breaking the cycle of isolation that so many caregivers experience.
Looking Ahead: What’s Next for CASEN and MOEK?
There’s no slowing down for Dr. Clark and Chris Jr. In the upcoming months, their advocacy and outreach will be front and center across several exciting platforms.
