Most songs about getting rich are really about already being there. Lord Conrad, the stage name of Italian producer Corrado Garibaldi, is more interested in the part before that, the risk and the overnight fortunes, and his new single “Rising Empire” is built around exactly that stretch.
The track plays like a midnight drive through a city that runs on money. Fortunes get made in a single night, the champagne doesn’t stop, and the cars are fast. The production keeps up. Distorted guitars cut through atmospheric 80s synthwave, while heavy 808s, trap drums and modern hip-hop production keep the energy up from start to finish.
The more unusual move is where he takes the concept next. Lord Conrad connects the neon world of Grand Theft Auto VI to the actual financial markets, pointing to the attention on Take-Two Interactive (NASDAQ: TTWO), the company behind the franchise, along with the broader Nasdaq and the business of interactive entertainment. His point is pretty simple. The empire-building mindset doesn’t stay inside the game. It carries over into the real markets, where people are always watching for the next big move.

That idea carries into the official music video, which mixes Vice City-style nightlife and luxury cars with market visuals. Lord Conrad is upfront that those visuals are fictional and made for entertainment, and that nobody should take them as financial advice, investment guidance or forecasts of future market performance. He also notes the project is independent and fan-inspired, and isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by Rockstar Games.
“Rising Empire” comes out of a shift he started in 2026, folding synthwave, progressive house, hip-hop, R&B and trap into what had been an electronic-first catalog. He’s not starting from zero, either. His video for “Touch The Sky” has passed 1.5 million views on YouTube, and “Only You” picked up a following among shuffle dancers around the world.
Next up is a modern hip-hop remix of “Push It to the Limit” from Scarface, along with another project that mixes 80s synthwave with modern hip-hop, this one about trading. Both stay right on the theme he’s built “Rising Empire” around. For an artist who’d rather make music about getting there than being there, that seems like the whole point.
