Lauren Jauregui, SKG, Shylah Ray and More Talented Musicians Unite for Palestine Relief at Amplified Voices Event

In a powerful demonstration of artistic solidarity, musicians and community leaders gathered for Amplified Voices, a fundraising event that transformed collective voices into tangible support for Palestinian families. The gathering emerged as a celebration of resistance, resilience, and solidarity, bringing together an impressive array of artists and activists under one cause.

Grammy-nominated artist Lauren Jauregui took center stage, using her platform to speak out about Palestinian rights and the importance of solidarity. Alongside her, the dynamic rapper SKG, also known as Helecia Choyce, delivered a performance that addressed themes of resistance and collective strength through her signature storytelling approach to music.

The soulful Shylah Ray brought heartfelt moments to the stage, while QUIN, Low Leaf, and Aztlan Underground filled the space with a rich mixture of hip-hop, soul, and Latinx and Indigenous music. The performances expanded further with performances by Martha Gonzalez of Quetzal, Elijah Badua, César y Xochi of Cambalache, Ella Hue, Atomik:Kangaroo, and Omar Velasco, each contributing their unique artistic voice to the cause.

Butch Aware delivered a keynote address focusing on solidarity with Palestine and resistance against colonialism and imperialism. The event drew strength from its broad community participation, with organizations including Ojai Ceasefire, Ventura Tenants Union, Jewish Voices for Peace, CODEPINK Santa Barbara, and Students for Justice in Palestine sharing their ongoing work in supporting Palestinian families and fighting for justice.

The gathering welcomed a diverse cross-section of community members – mothers, fathers, aunties, uncles, grandparents, caregivers, organizers, and community members all united in their commitment to resist oppression and stand in solidarity. Through ticket sales, the event channeled direct financial support to families in Palestine affected by military occupation and violence.

Each performance and speech throughout the day served a dual purpose – not only providing powerful entertainment but also amplifying the call for peace and denouncing injustices. The combination of music, art, culture, and community organizing demonstrated how artistic expression can unite with humanitarian causes to create meaningful impact.
